[NXL Construction Services, a division of Kleinfelder, is a professional Construction Management and Surveying firm specializing in transportation projects. We are currently seeking motivated candidates to fill our full-time Project Manager role in the Survey Department. The work location will be in our **Richmond, Virginia office**.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee all aspects of projects to include preparation of cost proposals and RFPs, scheduling of field work, office work and project deliverables
* Establish deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of projects
* Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of projects
* Act as a representative for senior stakeholders at internal and external meetings
* Organize internal departments to effectively control scheduling of projects
* Report project cost and quality control activities to client
* Provide financial management of operations, monitor expenses, approve/disperse funds, and coordinate accounting and cost allocation
* Prepare contract change orders and supplemental agreements; monitor project budgets
* Occasionally drives to project/client sites to complete tasks or attend meetings

Qualifications:
* Professional Land Surveyor license required with a minimum of 5 years project management or related experience
* Demonstrated and documented success at managing projects
* Familiarity with/use of PC-based computer systems
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Carlson, Cloudworks and TopoDOT CADD software programs
* Understanding of static and RTK GPS operations and post-processing; laser scanning and point cloud registration and data extraction
* Knowledge of FAA Part 107 regulations and operations of unmanned aircraft systems required. Current Remote Pilot license a plus.
* Familiarity with federal and state laws, rules and regulations, to include VDOT Survey Standards
* Strong committed leader who can motivate and engage highly complex functional groups/teams, with superior interpersonal and relationship management skills
* Excellent written and oral expression in English
* People oriented with an ability to establish a high degree of credibility with staff and clients
* Valid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving practices
* Ability to pass a fingerprint/background check
